Part of the city tour included a canal tour. It was about an hour or two boat ride up and down, in and out of the canals of Bangkok. We saw fantastic houses on stilts, catfish, and temples throughout Bangkok.
Right near the Emerald Buddha (below) and the Reclining Buddha is the Grand Palace. The upkeep of the shrubbery is beautiful and the building itself was pretty magnificent. Most of the temples and famous buildings in Bangkok were constructed by past Kings, the King that designed this wanted an English style of architecture, then changed his mind, and it ended up as a blend.
This is the entrance to the building that houses the Emerald Buddha. No pictures are aloud of the Buddha itself, but the building that houses it I found just as interesting as the Buddha itself.
