This is the Temple in full, pretty cool looking, I was brought to the temple by Boat, those pictures follow.
Part of the city tour included a canal tour. It was about an hour or two boat ride up and down, in and out of the canals of Bangkok. We saw fantastic houses on stilts, catfish, and temples throughout Bangkok.
I saw a handful of these HUUUGE Monitor Lizards when cruising the canal. Apparently they are meat eaters.
Right near the Emerald Buddha (below) and the Reclining Buddha is the Grand Palace. The upkeep of the shrubbery is beautiful and the building itself was pretty magnificent. Most of the temples and famous buildings in Bangkok were constructed by past Kings, the King that designed this wanted an English style of architecture, then changed his mind, and it ended up as a blend.
I snapped this picture in the courtyard of the grand palace. I can’t get over how nice of a picture this point and shoot Sony takes.
